LGA: Partnering with Other Organizations
Jonathan Plass in attendance of a Holi celebration. Richmond Hill, New York. 3/7/2022
The Little Guyana Archive is currently operated by myself (Jonathan Plass). While I will being working my hardest to respond to everyone’s feedback and continue to expand the platform I am an individual. That being said I am far from the only person or group around the world trying to create community and a digital home for Guyanese culture. Throughout my research I have come across numerous people and organizations that share a similar goal with the Little Guyana Archive. Many of the organizations I have encountered had short life spans of a year or two, but many are still going strong and growing into full fledged businesses in some cases. This being said the Little Guyana Archive is seeking to collaborate with people and organizations interested in a common goal of protecting, preserving, and promoting Guyanese art, architecture, history, and culture.
As a part of this effort I have began to populate a list of organizations on the archive’s website so that members of the diaspora, fellow researchers, and the public at large can begin to see the plethora of amazing people striving for a common purpose. This list is also intended to grow past the limits of my knowledge through user submissions. On the organizations page users will find a link to an organization submission form where they can submit organizations to be added to the list. In addition to publishing this list digitally I will be reaching out to every organization to see if there are any synergies between groups.
In terms of topics organizations should be related to right now the Little Guyana Archive is focused on:

Business
